Mothered Magazine Feature Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all individuals, businesses, and participants (“Participant”) purchasing or participating in editorial features, interviews, cover stories, sponsored content, or related opportunities with Mothered Magazine (“Mothered,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By submitting payment for a feature opportunity with Mothered Magazine, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

1. Editorial Participation

Mothered Magazine provides editorial storytelling, interviews, features, and visibility opportunities designed to highlight working mothers, founders, leaders, and professionals.

Feature opportunities may include, depending on the purchased tier:

  • Written editorial features

  • Cover stories

  • Website publication

  • Digital and print magazine inclusion

  • Social media promotion

  • Podcast or video-related content

  • Other agreed-upon promotional distribution

2. Participant Content & Usage Rights

By participating, you grant Mothered Magazine the non-exclusive right to use, publish, reproduce, edit, distribute, and promote submitted materials related to your feature, including but not limited to:

  • Photographs

  • Logos

  • Biographical information

  • Written responses

  • Interview excerpts

  • Audio/video clips

  • Website and social media links

These materials may be used across Mothered’s platforms, including:

  • Digital magazine

  • Website

  • Social media

  • Email marketing

  • Podcast/video promotion

  • Promotional and archival materials

You confirm that you own or have permission to provide all submitted materials.

3. Editorial Discretion

Mothered Magazine retains final editorial discretion regarding:

  • Formatting

  • Editing

  • Layout and design

  • Headlines and excerpts

  • Content selection

  • Publication timing

  • Promotional distribution

Participants may be given the opportunity to review content for factual accuracy prior to publication. However, Mothered Magazine maintains final editorial decision-making authority.

4. Payments & Refunds

All feature payments are due in full prior to publication unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Because editorial production and scheduling begin shortly after booking, payments are non-refundable once production, interviewing, writing, design, or scheduling work has commenced.

Feature placements are reserved only after payment has been received. Mothered and participant may agree to move feature to an upcoming month instead, if needed.

5. Publication Timing

Mothered Magazine makes reasonable efforts to publish content within planned issue timelines. However, publication dates, launch schedules, and promotional timing may shift due to editorial, production, scheduling, or operational needs.

Mothered reserves the right to adjust publication timelines without penalty or refund obligation.

6. No Guaranteed Business Results

While Mothered Magazine is designed to increase visibility, positioning, and exposure, we do not guarantee:

  • Specific audience reach

  • Sales

  • Leads

  • Press opportunities

  • Business growth

  • Social media performance

  • Specific marketing outcomes

7. Participant Conduct

Mothered Magazine reserves the right to decline, remove, postpone, or cancel any feature or partnership that does not align with our editorial standards, mission, values, or brand positioning. Any refund is at the discretion of Mothered Magazine in this instance and agreed with participant.

8. Limitation of Liability

Mothered Magazine shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, reputational, or business damages arising from participation, publication, delays, or promotional activities related to a feature opportunity.
