She couldn’t unsee it, so she changed it.

Brooke Orloff

Co-founder, Mone Wellness

Brooke Orloff

Brooke Orloff is the co-founder of Mone Wellness, a perinatal app she launched alongside an Integrative OB/GYN and a Registered Dietitian to give mothers and families real, evidence-informed guidance from women’s health professionals.

She trained as a certified Massage Therapist before expanding into herbalism, then followed a pull toward birth work, becoming a certified Prenatal and Postpartum Doula and Lactation Counselor. Becoming a mother herself clarified her true calling: helping families navigate the transition into parenthood. Brooke lives with her husband, Daniel, and their three young children.

You started as a massage therapist, then doula and lactation counselor, and then built your way to co-founding a postpartum wellness app. That is not a straight line. What does ambition look like for you and where do you want to take Mone Wellness?

I believe that everything I’ve done up to this point has prepared me for founding and launching Mone Wellness. I’ve always had a lot of ideas and pursuits, and I’ve never been content with the status quo. Even as a kid, I was a mover and a shaker, and that same energy drives me today. Building a tech startup to serve women felt like a natural step, not a detour.

My vision for Mone Wellness is for it to become a widely accessible and universally trusted perinatal platform: it’s founded by experts, backed by experts, and recommended by experts. It’s a place where women and families get real, evidence-informed guidance from real health professionals, and can connect with real providers for additional support.

You are raising three young children while building something that exists to support other mothers through exactly the season you are still living yourself. What do you hope your children understand one day about why their mom poured herself into this work?

For all three of my kids, I hope they understand that I did this work because I couldn’t unsee what I’d seen. I’ve interacted with too many women who didn’t get the care, the information, or the support they deserved during one of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives. I want my kids to know their mom didn’t just talk about wanting things to be better for families, but that she built something to try to actually change it.

And I hope my kids grow up understanding that demanding support for families isn’t asking for too much, it’s the bare minimum. If they take one thing from watching me build this, I hope it’s that they don’t have to wait for the system to change on its own. They can be part of what changes it.
